What's New

  • New interface: the new user interface is more intuitive and easier to use than the old version.
  • New search engine: ConserveOnline now uses Google, so your search results will be more accurate.  When you perform a search, the search also automatically queries Google to search the web for the terms you entered in the ConserveOnline search box. The top Google results are returned and displayed. Clicking on the Google logo will take you to the full Google results for your search.
  • Improved performance: the site is much faster and will be easy to use even over slow internet connections.
  • New library features:
    • Easy to browse: You can now browse the ConserveOnline library for the most recent items or alphabetically, by author, or by search terms. Coming soon: an even more robust way to browse the library
    • DOIs: Once you post a file to the library, it is given a Digital Object Identifier (DOI), a unique permanent identifier given to an electronic document. DOIs do not change and they are associated with information about the document, such as the title, authors, topics etc. The associated information makes the documents easier for interested readers to find.
  • Keywords: ConserveOnline now uses keywords to describe the file or page that you’re creating in a workspace. Keywords help users to find the information they are looking for quickly.
  • Easier to manage workspace: We have simplified the way workspaces are managed, making it easier to invite and manage members, customize layouts, create discussions, and add calendar events.
