Abstract
Note: Use Adobe 5.0 or earlier in order to view this document properly. This report presents the results of a first-iteration biodiversity assessment of the Edwards Plateau Ecoregion. TNC, with the help of many partners, identified and designed a portfolio of conservation areas that, with proper management, will ensure the long-term survival of the ecoregion's ecological systems, communities and species. This document includes a description of the planning process; maps showing the suite of terrestrial and aquatic conservation areas; pertinent information on the species, communities and systems selected as targets within this ecoregion; key threats to the portfolio; and data gaps that, if addressed, will improve the quality of the next iteration of the plan.
