DESCRIPTION
This appendix includes the following tables of documented or expected ecological features in the San Juan Planning Area: Table 1. Terrestrial ecological systems. Table 2. Freshwater ecological systems. Table 3. High priority communities documented or expected in the San Juan Planning Area. Table 4a.High priority species that are documented or expected in the San Juan Planning Area. Table 4b. Historic occurrences of priority species in the San Juan Planning Area. Table 5. Lower priority communities and species. Together, Tables 4a, 4b, and 5 include all species that the Colorado Natural Heritage Program (CNHP) tracks and are documented or expected in the planning area, plus any additional species that are BLM or USFS sensitive. The report team distinguished between high priority and lower priority species and communities based on rarity and other factors. See the main report and introductory text in the tables in this appendix for more information about how the team established priorities.
