DESCRIPTION
Age of 2nd-growth forests have significant implications both on habitat values for fish and wildlife species as well as opportunities for commercial forest products. This map examines the spatial distribution of young growth forests as a function of stand age to highlight areas with high potential for commercial thinning treatments as well as high priority for wildlife habitat enhancement.
