DESCRIPTION
Camp Creek is the major stream system that drains TNC's Zumwalt Prairie Preserve in northeastern Oregon. This stream has been affected by myriad human activities, including farming, grazing, channel movement, and damming. Today, Camp Creek lacks appropriate riparian vegetation and experiences excessive rates of both and bank and bed erosion. In 2003-2004 TNC volunteer Doyle McClure went into the field and mapped all the headcuts on upper Camp Creek. These data will be used to track progress in TNC’s stream restoration efforts on Camp Creek (RV Taylor & D McClure).
