DESCRIPTION
The Giant Palouse Earthworm is a rare, possibly extinct three-foot long earthworm that is only found in the Palouse Prairie of Oregon, Washington and Idaho. The earthworm is normally killed when it is found by people digging in the soil. In other parts of the country earthworms are collected by sending vibrations into the soil, which is called "charming" for worms. We went "charming" for the Giant Palouse Earthworm in two locations in Idaho and Oregon. We did not find any Giant Palouse Earthworms.
