Asia Pacific Measures and Data Working GroupThis working group will be focused on collecting conservation information necessary to measure our results and make effective decisions at multiple scales: primarily the Capital Campaign projects, as well as other regional scale projects, operating units and country programs.
Each regional scale project, OU and country program will appoint two representatives to the group: one representative responsible for data collection, representation and management (most likely a GIS specialist) and another representative at the management/science level in charge of setting and interpreting measurable objectives/measures that has the authority to provide final "approval" on results outputs for their project.
Membership has 3 levels:
- Full Members: Individuals appointed by Capital Campaign, OU or Regional Scale project directors. These members consist of Data Lead and Measures Leads.
- Associate Members: TNC staff members or Partners working in Measures and/or Data related field that will be support for working group.
- Steering Committee: Capital Campaign, OU or Regional Scale project directors who have an interest in the results of the working group.

US Conservation Management Status Measures Project - The Nature Conservancy is working across all 50 U.S. states to develop a shared comprehensive geospatial database of Conservation Management Status Measures as well as records of protection and management activities taking place across the country. This information will not only better inform TNC and partners of current biodiversity conservation status, but can also assist natural resource owners and managers to identify opportunities to strengthen their protection and management capabilities on lands designated for that purpose. The purpose of this website is to provide materials that will be helpful in making that project a success.
