DESCRIPTION
In this tutorial you will have the opportunity to use GIS to evaluate conservation management status and road density in the Ruvuma Landscape of Tanzania and Mozambique. The Ruvuma landscape boasts a range of habitat types from coral reefs to miombo woodlands, and contains the largest remaining unfragmented habitat in eastern and southern Africa for the wild dog, lion, leopard, eland, roan, black rhino and savanna elephant. All data is provided as part of the tutorial, however, you need to have ArcGIS 9.x installed on your computer to complete it. The tutorial will take 3-5 days to complete.
