DESCRIPTION
First of several "progress reports" prepared by Jonathan Atwood documenting his work with Cactus Wrens and California Gnatcatchers on the Palos Verdes Peninsula and later in Orange County. This report does not contain much analysis, and what it does contain was updated in his later progress reports. Maps show locations where gnatcatchers and wrens were banded on the peninsula. A lengthy appendix containing a banding summary is not included here, as all of the birds will have died by this time.
