Costs Imposed by Climate Change in Three Ecoregions of East Africa
This report, prepared as an input into the design of USAID East Africa's Office for Regional Economic Growth and Integration, presents the results of an assessment of the monetary costs imposed by climate change in three ecological regions of East Africa; the Lake Victoria Basin, the Horn of Africa, and the plains of Kenya and Tanzania. The study focuses on four major areas of climate change impact; crop production, livestock production, coastal flooding, and health.
