Ecoregional status measures pilots (8)
The Nature Conservancy uses Ecoregional Status Measures to assess the extent of biodiversity under effective conservation at the ecoregional scale, and to provide direction on where to work and what actions may be needed to improve biodiversity conservation. The framework was developed via extensive dialogue with field staff over the past several years, involving pilot projects distributed across six of The Nature Conservancy’s regions to test and refine various methods. This folder contains many of those examples. Using insight from these pilots, the Ecoregional Status Measures Framework has been reworked to provide clarity, consistency, and to simplify gathering and evaluating available information when developing ecoregional measures. If you have work you would like to see published in this folder, please contact Jonathan Higgins at jhiggins@tnc.org or Crissy Supples at csupples@tnc.org .
