The global database contains information on over 330 marine invasive species, including non-native distributions by marine ecoregion, invasion pathways, and ecological impact and other threat scores. This is an ongoing project and the database will be updated periodically.
Non-native species occurrences were recorded using Marine Ecoregions of the World (MEOW), a biogeographic classification of the world's coastal ecosystems (Spalding et al. 2007, BioScience).
