The Ohio Forest Stewardship Program is designed to address the need for proper management of Ohio's non-industrial private forest lands. These lands provide a bounty of products and benefits that are important for the state's economy and environmental health; the forests purify the air, protect the soil and water, provide habitat for much of the our wildlife, afford significant outdoor recreation opportunities and provide the raw products for a thriving forest industry.
