Forest Stewardship landowners are an elite group. Their forests demonstrate the possibilities of good multiple use forestry. Tennessee offers many opportunities for forest landowners: rich and diverse wildlife, production of high quality hardwoods, growing short rotation pine, and many ways to enhance natural beauty. Forest Stewardship makes for a rewarding and profitable hobby and gives satisfaction in knowing that you are creating a better forest for the future.

• Total forested acres= 14.4 million
• Privately owned (non-corporate)=10 million acres
• Industry=1.4 million acres
• Government=2 million acres
