Utah's forest stewardship program encourages long-term stewardship of non-industrial private forest lands by assisting landowners with the active management of their forest and natural resources.
State Forestland Statistics:
- Total forested acres= 16,234,000 acres
- Privately owned= 2,759,780 acres
- Industry=0
- Government= 13,474,220 acres
Stewardship in Utah:
- Number of stewardship plans= 134
- Acres covered by stewardship plans= 357,935 acres
