DESCRIPTION
The Nature Conservancy is one of five sponsors that recently commissioned the American Climate Values Survey by EcoAmerica (www.ecoamerica.org), which asked Americans about climate and environmental issues, behaviors and concerns; other social and cultural issues; voting and political attitudes; and general attitudes and demographic questions. The study found that politics, economics and perceived lack of personal benefits were the main reasons Americans do not place a priority on solving global warming and the importance of making a clear and convincing case that solving global warming will produce immediate and long-lasting economic, personal and national benefits.
