Contemporary approaches for oyster reef restoration

DESCRIPTION
This review article summarizes the contemporary approaches to restoring oyster reefs with essons drawn primarily from projects centering on the eastern oyster, Crassostrea virginica, but with application to the Olympia oyster, Ostrea conchaphila. This was published as part of a special issue of the Journal of Shellfish Research highlighting efforts to restore the Olympia oyster to Pacific North American estuaries.
