Meeting Objectives:

  • Information Exchange:Participants learn about sea-level rise issues by sharing information about Nature Conservancy projects under way and projects being pursued by partners.
  • Science and Policy: Increase understanding of essential science and policy issues and identify key roles for TNC.
  • Collaborate: Identify opportunities for collaboration on sea-level rise within TNC and with partner organizations.
  • Launch the SLR Network: Outline the SLR Network's charter and define member roles within TNC and across the broader conservation community: who the network's "audience" or "clients" should be, what services it should provide and how it should function.
  • Strategic Planning: Begin strategic planning for future activities and opportunities to shape TNC's approach to sea-level rise adaptation.
