Big Thorne

The Big Thorne Stewardship Project is an initiatve by the Thorne Bay Ranger District of the Tongass National Forest to help guide the agency as it defines priority projects that best meet the needs of businesses and communities and will help create local jobs on Prince of Wales Island.  A copy of the press release announcing the workshops can be found by clicking here.
 
At the first meeting, Jason Anderson, Thorne Bay District Ranger, distributed a copy of the existing opportunities for projects in the Big Thorne area that were developed through a variety of planning analyses that have been conducted over the last several years.  A copy of this list can be found by clicking on the link below.
