The Conservancy now has an impressive collection of freshwater projects and efforts but no way of evaluating our impact in a manner that adds up. As a result, our freshwater achievements are often under represented as conservation achievements. This session will explore this topic and provide a framework for overcoming this challenge. Speakers include Jonathan Higgins (TNC) - measuring ecological outcomes of local to global freshwater strategies, Chris Konrad (USGS-IPA) - linking changes in water management to ecological outcomes, Anthony Sasson (TNC) - importance of standardized approach / comparable information, and Martha Surridge (WWF US) - conservation planning and design.
